Vienna Picnic for the Self-Employed

This will be our last event before the summer break, so the idea is simple: slow down, spend time outside, meet familiar and new faces, exchange ideas, and have some fun together before everyone disappears into summer mode!

We will meet in Burggarten for an informal picnic with snacks, drinks, conversations, and a few light business games.

You can join from 17:00, and we will stay until around 21:00. Come whenever it works for you.

What to expect

This is not a formal event. It is a relaxed community picnic for self-employed people, freelancers, small business owners, and anyone building their own thing in Austria.

We will talk, connect, share business experiences, and play a few simple games that help us think about our businesses in a lighter and more creative way.

Two Truths and a Lie - Business Edition

Each person shares three short statements about their business, work life, or self-employed journey. Two are true, one is made up.

The others try to guess which one is the lie. It is a fun and easy way to learn more about each other beyond the usual “what do you do?” introduction.😁

Problem Swap

Before the picnic, think about one small problem your business is currently facing.

Each person writes one small business problem on paper. Papers are mixed. Everyone picks one and gives one idea or solution. Good for practical value without becoming too serious.😊

Build a Business in 10 Minutes

Small teams get a random object from the picnic, like a spoon, blanket, apple, or sunglasses, and invent a business around it: name, target customer, price, slogan. Then they pitch it.🤩

What to bring

Please bring:

• A blanket or something to sit on

• A water bottle

• Pen and paper

• One business problem for the Problem Swap

• Some snacks and drinks for yourself, and optionally to share

We will start from 17:00 with a few guests. You can join later whenever it is suitable for you.

Weather plan 🌞

In case the weather is bad, we will move the picnic to the next day.

Registration is required, so we know who is coming and can contact you if the weather plan changes.
